Do OT and/or PT treatments cause pain?

Dec18th 2020

Occupational and physical therapy are not meant to hurt, but to relieve pain and improve function! There is a chance, however, as you restore your mobility that your pain levels will fluctuate. You might experience some temporary soreness from using muscles that are weakened or recovering. Rest assured that this is a normal response to occupational or physical therapy treatment and not a cause for concern.

Good communication with our therapist will help minimize any discomfort. We want you on your way to quick pain relief and back to normal activities.
