Pre/Post-Employment Drug Testing
Is It Time To Drug-Test Employees At Your Company?
Did you know that employers typically end up paying billions of dollars every year as a result of employee substance abuse? Whether it’s related to prescription medication, illegal drugs, alcohol, losing a sizable amount annually in revenue poses a massive threat to a business.
Many businesses don’t believe they need to drug test their employees, however, a solid drug testing program can help prevent future problems, not only for the business as a whole but for each individual working there.
Choice Rehabilitation can help you manage your pre and post employment testing needs. We are able to provide 6 Panel Urine Drug Testing with instant results for negative results and lab testing with medical review officer certification for any positives. We do breathalyzer testing for alcohol and we are also able to do hair follicle testing.

What Are DOT/Non-DOT Tests?
DOT tests are different from Non-DOT tests. A Non-DOT drug test is a drug test given to a worker in an industry that’s not regulated by the U.S. Dept of Transportation (DOT). According to information provided by EBI Inc, “there are two worlds when it comes to drug testing; the difference is how the drug testing is regulated. The first applies to industries regulated by the DOT. If you’re a pilot, a truck driver, or a train conductor, the DOT governs your drug testing. The second world of drug testing applies to everyone else in non-regulated industries. Testing done on employees in a non-regulated industry is referred to as Non-DOT drug testing.”
Choice Rehabilitation is certified to do both DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing. DOT testing can reveal the use of alcohol, opiates, marijuana, cocaine, PCP, amphetamines, and methamphetamines. Non-DOT testing looks for the presence of barbiturates, methadone, quaaludes, benzodiazepines, and propoxyphene.
